How it works

The Segment connector attaches the visitor’s consent state to the events flowing through your Segment source. Each downstream destination can then honor or suppress data based on the categories the visitor agreed to.

This means one consent decision governs every tool Segment fans out to — analytics, ads, and warehouses alike.

Setting it up

1. 1Choose Segment on the Integrations page.
2. 2Connect your Segment source with the provided key.
3. 3Map consent categories to your Segment destinations.
4. 4Run a scan and send a test event to confirm consent is attached.

How consent flows

• Consent categories are added to the context of every Segment event.
• Destinations filter or allow data based on that consent context.
• Consent changes are logged to your audit ledger.
